When I am not available, for holidays, day off etc, a locum doctor will be present.
What do I do in an emergency
If you need urgent medical advice during surgery hours, please phone the surgery on 01634 573020. Please be prepared to give some information to the receptionist. If you need to see a doctor urgently when the surgery is closed please phone the surgery and listen to the recorded message providing you with out-of-hours information.
Alternatively you can phone NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 or visit their website at www.nhsdirect.co.uk. NHS Direct offers free expert health information and advice 24 hours a day. It can advise you whether you need to go to the nearest A&E (accident and emergency) or if there is an alternative such as visiting an NHS walk-in centre. For deaf people and those hard of hearing, a telephone services is available on 0845 606 4647. If English is not your preferred language, you can choose to use a confidential translation service.
Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest accident and emergency department or call 999.

Please read notices posted inside the surgery and below.
Make sure you:
...are familiar with the opening times of the surgery
...find out how to arrange home visits, repeat prescriptions and urgent appointments.
You may not always need to see a doctor, ask what services the nurse can provide.
Take a list of questions with you when you see your doctor or nurse and ask appropriately to your doctor or nurse.
Take a friend or relative with you if necessary.
Interpretation services are available.
Tell the receptionist if you require more time to speak to txshe doctor so they can arrange a longer, double appointment.
Think twice before making an appointment - do you really need to see a doctor? Have you tried simple home treatments first?
Check-Ups
People aged over 75 are invited to participate in an annual check-up facility. Visits may be organised for those unable to travel.
We also offer a three yearly check-up for adults aged under 75 either with the doctor or the practice nurse.
Chaperones
If you wish to have a chaperone present at the time of consultation, please ask at the reception desk or with the doctor in consultation.
Mobile Phone Policy
We operate a strict no mobile phone policy - please turn off mobile phones before entering building.
